The terms that apply when you reserve or purchase a puppy from us.
Who these terms apply to
Velvet Paw Puppies is operated as a sole trader based in England. These terms apply to anyone reserving or purchasing a puppy through this website or through direct communication with us.
Reservations & deposits
A deposit of £250 is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit is applied toward the final purchase price and secures your place on the current litter or waitlist. Deposits are fully refundable at any point prior to a puppy being formally matched to your family; once matched, the deposit becomes non-refundable, reflecting that we stop actively marketing that puppy to other families from that point.
Payment methods
This website doesn't process payments online. Deposits and final balances are arranged directly with us — typically by bank transfer — and confirmed in writing over email before any payment is made. We'll never ask you to pay through an unfamiliar third-party link.
Final payment
The remaining balance is due in full at pickup, or before transport arrangements are made for long-distance families.
Health guarantee
All puppies are sold subject to the terms outlined in our separate Health Guarantee page, which forms part of these terms.
Ownership & registration
Puppies are sold as companion animals. Any applicable registration paperwork will be provided at pickup. Breeding rights, where applicable, are discussed and agreed separately in writing.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel after a puppy has been matched to you, contact us as soon as possible. Refund eligibility depends on timing and is handled case-by-case, in line with the deposit terms above.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
